The role of the Business Development, Vice President is to support and drive the growth of GenesisCare alongside Executive and Senior Management. As a senior member of the Business Development team, you will take a leading and integral role in the development of strategic direction, ideas and relationships and the origination, execution and integration of new initiatives across the business.


What You’ll Do

In this role you will be required to build strong relationships and use strategic thinking, expert analytical skills and project management capability to drive the development and implementation of key Business Development projects.

 

You will have engagement and responsibility across all aspects of Business Development initiatives which will include:

  • Development of strategic direction in conjunction with the Executive
  • Identification and origination of opportunities, including detailed and insightful analysis as to strategic, operational and financial viability of the project
  • Supporting and developing relationships across internal and external stakeholders, both existing and new
  • Market assessments and landscape review
  • Leading negotiations of deals with partners including development of term sheets and coordination of legal documentation while demonstrating strong commercial understanding and acumen
  • Generating financial and operational models including (for example) forecast business cases, merger models, new disease management models and remuneration models
  • Developing presentations to support initiatives including both external stakeholder engagement and internal approval processes (CMC, IC, Board, etc)
  • Project management of transactions including due diligence, risk and opportunities assessment, creation of the business plan and integration plan
  • Implementation of the business plan in partnership with the relevant business units
  • Responsibility for performance of projects against business case

 

Who You Are

  • 7+ years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance or other business development / corporate transactional roles
  • A self-motivated problem-solver, leader, with high energy and empathy, the ability to influence capabilities and interpersonal savvy across all levels of the organisation
  • You will be able to think strategically and tactically about service development, integration, new sites and other partnerships including short- and long-term impact on business and purpose
  • Demonstrated experience in being able to build quality relationships with all levels of management and cross-functional teams and drive a collaborative and long-term partnership environment
  • Strong project management, financial modelling and mergers and acquisitions capability is essential
  • Experience working directly with Executives is a positive but not essential
  • Experience influencing and setting direction on strategic projects
